Today we woke up super early for breakfast at “The Bean.” Then, Dr. Davis decided to get us lost on our way to our lecture and walked for about 45 minutes to the place we had to go. Once the great philosopher made some phone calls, we made our way to a beautiful building where we were lectured about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict by Mr. Weinner (not sure about the spelling). After hearing some great information, we trekked our way back to the campus and got some lunch. I had “Meat Burger” which was amazing to have a non-kosher burger again. However, I made the mistake of putting too much mustard, which is super spicy, on my burger and ruined it. Nonetheless, I will be eating there again.
Then after taking a break and telling all of SEU the story about how Kayla could be sold for 5,000 camels, we went to Ben-Yehuda street for some supplies. We came back, a group went to dinner but Marcos and Veraliz and I stayed behind and had a great conversation about everything. Then Brianna, Dustin and Ryan came down and joined our great little conversation. After talking for an hour and a half we decided it was time for food. Note: On Shabat, only non-kosher restaurants are open, which leaves you with about five options and everything is packed and you have to make reservations. After about 45 minutes of searching, we finally went to “Bolognese.” This was a fantastic Italian restaurant and can’t wait to try other things the next time we go. Now I’m going to sleep, Laila Tuv!
